Room 6 at the Thomas Shepherd Inn
Room 6, with its queen-size bed, is one of the inn’s larger rooms. The pretty four-poster bed has a pillow-top mattress and is flanked by tables with lamps with bead-trimmed shades. There is a wood dresser as well as a large armoire with detailed inlays of wood and mother of pearl. The large, well-lit sitting area has an enticing sofa, chair, side table and coffee table/cobbler’s bench that encourage reading or lively conversation. A large corner fireplace adds ambiance or warmth. Windows line two sides of the room offering both morning and afternoon sun as well as overlooking the inn gardens. The large, private bath has a claw foot tub with a shower, a large, over-the-sink mirror surrounded with painted glass and metal accents, and a small decorative oak table.
Room 6 is one of our most romantic rooms and has been the site of more than a few engagements. It has had many return bookings to relive many happy moments.
