During the 2013 season of the Contemporary American Theater Festival – where the future of American theater spends the summer – we were fortunate to have the American Theater Critics’ Association for its annual conference. I always have a soft spot in my heart for Pittsburgh and its environs – I grew up saying ‘youns’ (always out of my mother’s earshot) with my schoolmates in central PA and made some of my best friends bonding over ‘pop’ at college. I’m happy that more folks from my native state are discovering what a wonderful spot Shepherdstown, West Virginia is!
