We’ve finally passed over to fall weather – at least the nights are cool; now apples and pumpkins are starting to appear at our farmer’s market. Things really heat up at this time of year at Ridgefield Farms, one of our local growers – Alan, Scott and their crew are a staple at the market. But you don’t need to wait until Sunday to check out their wares – the farm itself is open seven days a week now and has a variety of activities for everyone. Pumpkinfest starts Sept. 20th and goes through the end of October, with hayrides and the International House of Panic (new this year). You can pick your own apples and pumpkins or find your way through the corn maze any time you stop by. Christmas trees – cut your own, already cut, or live balled trees – will be ready at the Farm in November.
