Musicians for Mason, Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Shepherdstown Clarion

I don’t usually blog about things that are very local, but there is a very worthy benefit that will be held on Sunday, September 14th at the Clarion Hotel here in Shepherdstown. It is ‘Musicians for Mason’ and is being held to help out a local young man who was critically injured in a car accident about a month ago. He was flown to Baltimore and remains hospitalized at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He and his family have a long road ahead to a full recovery and the town of Shepherdstown has really pitched in to do whatever they can to help the Ellsworth family. A musical benefit is especially appropriate as Mason was to enter Shepherd University as a freshman music major this fall. Brian and Sylvia – Mason’s mom and dad – own Ellsworth Music and Catering here in Shepherdstown.
The Speakeasy Boys (bluegrass), Love Machine (Motown/soul), and The I-Steadies with Sam Felker (rock) wil be playing beginning at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $15 at the door. I heard all these bands at the Street Fest this summer – it will be a great night of music and dancing for a good cause!
