What’s new for fall?

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything, but it’s not because it’s been slow here – July was busier than ever with the Contemporary American Theater Festival in town. We are recovering as August slows down a bit but we expect to be busy for the fall season here – there are lots of fairs and festivals and foliage to see!!
The big news for all you hikers and bicyclists who love to use the C&O Canal Path along the Potomac River is that the bridge, sidewalk and access from the bridge directly to the towpath is finally completed! Only two years behind schedule. It is really great to be able to walk or bike to the C&O, leaving your car behind. Plan your trips for fall now.
We have finished painting the Inn and the shutters are back up with everything looking shiny and new. The shutters have been restored to shutter hinges, rather than being screwed to the wall – Jim is a stickler for making them right rather than taking a quick fix. We hope you’ll visit soon to take a look.
